Content Can Be Written with AI, but Judgment Can’t Be Outsourced

Today, I want to share how I think about the relationship between content creation and AI.

When I write articles for my website, I do use AI.
I don’t see this as something that needs to be hidden or avoided. It’s not a secret.

At this point, whether AI can be used in content creation is no longer the real question.
What I keep coming back to in my own work is this:
when a piece of content is meant to express a person’s point of view, how far should AI be allowed to go?

My answer is straightforward.
I use AI, but the decision of how the content is written has to stay with me.

When I let AI decide how to write, a problem shows up very quickly: the result doesn’t sound like me. The tone shifts. The way ideas are framed changes. The perspective becomes generic—almost textbook-like.
The content is complete, and technically correct, but it carries no personal stance.

For learning and organizing information, that kind of output can be useful.
But for content creation, it doesn’t work—at least not for the kind of work I do.

My articles are written for potential clients.
They’re not coming to me for answers they could easily look up on their own.
They’re looking for someone who can absorb information, make sense of it, and offer a judgment that’s actually useful.

So I don’t spend much time worrying about whether AI should be used.
AI is an important tool in my work.
What I’m careful to protect is this: when content is meant to express a viewpoint, the judgment behind it can’t be handed off.
